The Products of the Farm
It’s an ancient farm, a property of the same Giannozzi family since 1710, and it extends around the Marcialla estate for about 180 hectares, of which 35 are covered by specialized vineyards. . It is located in heart of the Chianti region, halfway between Florence and Siena, in the districts of Barberino Val d’Elsa and Tavernelle Val di Pesa, an area which has always been devoted to the production of great wines like Chianti colli fiorentini, Merlot, Vinsanto which are worldwide famous. Besides the wines, a smaller production of high quality extra virgin olive oil from about 7000 olive trees; fruits are strictly hand-picked and taken to the oil press where, thanks to mechanical process without heating, you get a very particular final product, of an intense green colour, a great smell and a strong, fruity flavour which is not filtered by company choice. Finally the Grappa, a Chianti’s marc distillate, gift-wrapped goods.
